Our apps keep everything on your device. They have no accounts, send nothing to us, and contain no advertising or analytics code. This website sets no cookies and runs no trackers. The only personal data we hold is what you choose to email us.
01Who is responsible
Valid Ventures LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States (“we”, “us”) is the controller of any personal data described in this policy. This policy covers the website at validventures.co (the “Site”) and the apps we publish (the “Apps”), including Vigil.
02The Site
The Site is a static website. It does not set cookies, does not use analytics or advertising services, and does not embed social media. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google’s servers when a page loads; that request is subject to Google’s privacy policy. Our web host may keep standard server logs, which record the IP address, browser type and time of each request, for security and operational purposes; we do not use those logs to identify visitors.
03The Apps
Our Apps are designed so that we do not receive personal data from them:
- There is no account to create and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifier.
- Everything an App records about your use of it, such as the obligations you mark, the days you keep and the progress you earn, is stored only on your device.
- The Apps make no network connections of their own. No usage data, diagnostics or content is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
- The Apps contain no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software.
- Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No push notification service is used.
If you delete an App, its data is deleted with it. Your device’s own backup features, such as iCloud Backup, may include App data according to your settings; those backups are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. If a future App or version changes any of the above, we will update this policy before it is released and describe the change in the App Store listing.
04Purchases
Where an App offers a subscription or other purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple. We never see your payment card or billing details. Apple may provide us with non-identifying, aggregated information about sales and subscriptions, and may share with us the minimum needed to honour a purchase, such as a receipt that verifies it. Apple’s handling of your purchase data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
05Email and correspondence
If you write to us at dev@validventures.co, we will hold your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of the correspondence, for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a record of the exchange. We use it for no other purpose and do not share it, except with a service provider that hosts our mailbox, or where the law requires.
06Children
The Site and the Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
07Your rights
Because our Apps keep data on your device, you are in direct control of it: you can review it in the App and remove it by deleting the App. For any personal data we do hold, such as correspondence, you may ask us to access, correct or delete it, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California and other jurisdictions with data protection laws have these and related rights under those laws, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising, and we have not done so in the past twelve months.
08Security
Data in our Apps is protected by the security features of your device, including its passcode and on-device encryption. Correspondence we hold is kept in a hosted mailbox with access limited to the people who need it.
09Changes to this policy
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how an App handles your data, we will describe it in the App’s release notes or App Store listing as well.
